About Celin
Celin Frezghi is an autodidactic artist based in Dortmund, Germany. Since 2019, she has developed a unique visual language rooted in pop culture, urban art and abstraction. Brought up in a conservative and religious household, the artist’s work is influenced by the tension between tradition and personal freedom. With her work she invites the viewer to see the world from a fresh perspective, celebrating the beauty found in both order and chaos.

My Story
The motivation to create is deeply rooted in her upbringing. Raised as an only child by a young immigrant single mother who fled Eritrea, the artist grew up witnessing the strength of the women in her family – particularly her grandmother, who helped raise her. This instilled in her a sense of perseverance, independence, and a commitment to create something meaningful.
Her works have been sold to private collectors around the world, including Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada and the United States.
In September 2023, a selection of paintings was exhibited at the Art Number 23 Gallery in Salzburg, Austria.
In May 2025 she attended the Blend Bazar in Dortmund, Germany debuting her first ceramics sale.
