The motivation to create is deeply rooted in her upbringing. Raised as an only child by a young immigrant single mother who fled Eritrea, the artist grew up witnessing the strength of the women in her family – particularly her grandmother, who helped raise her. This instilled in her a sense of perseverance, independence, and a commitment to create something meaningful.

In May 2025 she attended the Blend Bazar in Dortmund, Germany debuting her first ceramics sale.
